Allen Katz and Tom Potter
After kicking off New York’s cocktail revolution in the ‘90s, drinks aficionado Allen Katz teamed up with Brooklyn Brewery co-founder Tom Potter to create New York Distilling Company. Together, Allen and Tom are on a mission to bring craft spirit distilling back to Brooklyn. They are currently putting the finishing touches on their new Bushwick distillery, where they will continue production of New York classics like Dorothy Parker Gin and their new Jaywalk Heirloom Rye Limited Edition.
Jaywalk Rye
More than a decade in the making, Jaywalk Heirloom is a limited-edition rye whiskey born from just 10 seeds of Horton Rye, a grain varietal that goes all the way back to 17th century New York. Jaywalk Heirloom is barreled at an entry proof of 115 to maximize flavor. Each bottle comes from a single barrel at cask strength, crafted and captured especially for the enjoyment of whiskey lovers.
